It looks like Mike Jenkins will not be playing football in 2016.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Arizona Cardinals cornerback tore an ACL in Sunday’s preseason game against the Texans.

He was signed to shore up the cornerback unit for the Cardinals with Tyrann Mathieu coming off his own ACL injury he sustained in late 2015. Justin Bethel was recently activated after recovering from foot surgery.
Defense has been the calling card for the Cardinals in their strong 2014 and 2015 seasons. However, late in the season it was obvious the defensive backfield was lacking without Mathieu. Their offense looked dynamic after a resurgent season from Carson Palmer and a surprise rookie season from running back David Johnson, but unless their defensive backfield holds up it will be difficult to improve on last season’s successes.
