Atlanta Falcons LB Vic Beasley won’t play Thursday night with shoulder strain
Atlanta Falcons second-year linebacker Vic Beasley will not play Thursday night in the team’s second preseason content against the Cleveland Browns as he recovers from a mild shoulder strain, the team announced Thursday afternoon.

Beasley joins kicker Matt Bryant, running back Terron Ward, cornerback C.J. Goodwin and safety Kemal Ishmael as the five Falcons missing Thursday night’s game. Beasley is expected to be ready to play in the team’s third preseason contest against the Miami Dolphins next week.
Beasley, the eighth overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, is expected to take a step forward in his second season after recording 26 total tackles and four sacks as a rookie. He is expected to be ready to play in the team’s third preseason contest against the Miami Dolphins next week.
