The Baltimore Ravens might have made the most surprising cut on Saturday, and it came on the same day the Denver Broncos released Mark Sanchez, no less.
The Ravens have cut running back Justin Forsett, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Forsett is only two years removed from a 1,200-yard campaign during his inaugural season with the Ravens. But Forsett’s second season in Baltimore was far more disappointing. Forsett rushed for only 641 yards and 2 touchdowns in 10 games before his season ended after he broke his arm in late November.
Nonetheless, this move is still extremely surprising, as Forsett was clearly Baltimore’s most experienced running back. However, Baltimore’s depth chart was quite crowded at the position. Javorious Allen, Kenneth Dixon and Terrance West all challenged for the starting job during training camp.
