The Baltimore Ravens are the walking wounded right now.
John Harbaugh’s team has a plethora of injury concerns on both sides of the football.
Wide receivers Steve Smith and Mike Wallace did not take part in practice for the Ravens on Wednesday, according to ESPN. Smith sat out with an ankle injury, while Wallace missed today’s session with sore ribs. The two receivers had on red non-contact jerseys. Lineman Ronnie Stanley was also out with a foot injury.
On defense, outside linebacker Terrell Suggs, middle linebacker C.J. Mosley and outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice. Suggs and Mosley have been slowed by a hamstring injury. Dumervil sat out as a precaution. The veteran pass rusher missed the first part of the season with a foot injury
Baltimore (3-2) is battling with their AFC North rival Pittsburgh Steelers for the most-hobbled team in the division.
The Ravens face the Giants in New York on Sunday. All the banged-up players listed above are expected to be available when the team takes on Big Blue.
