Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy has been a major catalyst in his team’s current three-game winning streak and once again on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers McCoy has been excellent. However, his day may have come to a premature end after an apparent right knee injury in the first half.
McCoy had already rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns, and the Bills are leading the 49ers 17-13 heading into halftime but he had to be assisted off the field late in the first half. Heading into the break, he was seen actively cutting on that knee down on the sidelines in an effort to test it out, but he has played yet since the injury.
Update (2:40 PM EDT): The Bills look like they may have dodged a bullet. McCoy has officially been cleared to return to the game per Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News. The Bills still lead the 49ers 17-13 to start the second half.
