Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy is listed as questionable with a hamstring injury for Sunday’s game against the rival Miami Dolphins.
But McCoy is expected to play, according to multiple reports. In addition to that, he could be on something of a pitch count, potentially between 25 and 35 plays, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. That would be a big deal for a resurgent Buffalo offense that has blossomed since it parted ways with offensive coordinator Greg Roman.
McCoy has been one of the top backs in the NFL, especially in recent weeks. The Bills have played the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers the past two weeks, and McCoy has shredded both defenses without issue. He had 150 yards rushing against the Rams and had 140 yards rushing plus three touchdowns against the 49ers.
In six games this season, McCoy has rushed 104 times for 587 yards and six touchdowns. The Bills are trying to keep pace with a tough Patriots team in the AFC East.
