Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy is traveling with the team for their Week 7 game against the Miami Dolphins, according to Jeff Darlington of ESPN.
McCoy is dealing with a hamstring injury and is listed as questionable for the matchup. McCoy is a huge part of Buffalo’s resurgent offense and has been on a tear of late, putting up 140 yards on the ground against the San Francisco 49ers and 150 yards rushing against the Los Angeles Rams in the team’s last two games.
Traveling with the team is a sign McCoy will either play, or at the very least has a good chance to play. He may wind up being a game-time decision, but the Bills and Dolphins do play in the earlier slate of games on Sunday. Buffalo is 4-2 on the season and trying to keep pace with the New England Patriots, and they cannot afford a loss to the rival Dolphins.
McCoy, 28, has 104 carries for 587 yards and 6 touchdowns this season. That’s a per-carry average of 5.6 yards, and he has also caught 20 passes for 97 yards and a touchdown. He’s fumbled twice on the season, but both fumbles were recovered. The Bills have won their last four games and will play their second game against the Patriots following their matchup with the Dolphins.
