Rex Ryan isn’t happy.
Despite out-gaining the Indianapolis Colts by 98 yards, Ryan’s Bills were downed 19-18 in their preseason opener. The primary reason for Buffalo’s defeat might have been penalties. The Bills were penalized 11 times and racked up 106 penalty yards.
That’s a bad sign. Ryan believes his team’s performance Saturday night was resemblant of last year’s 8-8 squad.
“The mistakes that we made, as I pointed out to our team, it’s like we’ve got to turn the page on that,” Ryan said, according to The Buffalo News’ Vic Carucci. “That was last year’s team, and we can’t have that.”
