The Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings will square off on Halloween night Monday and Bears linebacker Pernell McPhee got into the holiday spirit when discussing the NFC North showdown.
McPhee hopes the game will resemble a horror movie for the visiting Vikings.
“I hope it’ll be bloody,” McPhee said, according to the Chicago Tribune’s Rich Campbell.
McPhee will likely have to haunt Minnesota’s offense all night if the Bears are going to come out victorious. He logged only 19 snaps in his first game back from knee surgery and didn’t record a stat.
Mike Zimmer coming off of a loss also might be a scary sight for those in attendance at Soldier Field. Zimmer will surely have his team motivated for a rebound after the Vikings suffered their first loss of the season in ugly fashion to the Philadelphia Eagles last week. Zimmer described the performance as “embarrassing” last week.
It might take a heroic effort from McPhee for the Bears to beat the Vikings on Monday night. Minnesota’s fearsome defense could devour Jay Cutler in his return from a thumb injury suffered in Week 2.
Bears fans could be in for a horrifying sight against Minnesota if they aren’t careful.
