Chicago Bears tight end Zach Miller was in danger of losing his leg in late October.
While attempting to haul in a touchdown pass against the New Orleans Saints, he suffered a dislocated left knee that looked awful on television. Emergency surgery was required to save his leg from being amputated, and he was not able to go back to Chicago for more than a week.
On Sunday, Miller posted video on Instagram of his first steps without a crutch since running that route in the end zone at Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
There is no set timeline on his recovery, but that will come when it’s time. Right now, it’s just nice to see Miller walking under his own power.
