Prince Amukamara’s Sunday ended fast.
The Chicago Bears cornerback injured his ankle on the first play of Sunday’s preseason game against the Tennessee Titans. Chicago announced that Amukamara is doubtful to return.
Cornerback Kyle Fuller replaced Amukamara in the lineup.
It’s been a forgettable preseason for Amukamara. The corner missed Chicago’s last 2 weeks with a hamstring injury. He had just returned from his injured hamstring.
The Bears have plans for Amukamara to start at cornerback if he can stay healthy. He’s played a full 16-game slate just once in his career.
This season is Amukamara’s seventh year in the NFL. He spent his first 5 years with the New York Giants and spent last season in Jacksonville with the Jaguars.
The veteran corner registered 309 tackles and 7 interceptions in his career.
