The Chicago Bears may not have seen the last of Brian Hoyer after all.
The quarterback broke his radius in his left arm, but could return late season via NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport’s source. However, he will need surgery.
Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers, Hoyer took a monster shot from former Bears defensive end Julius Peppers. He drove Hoyer down onto his left arm, and the quarterback could be seen grimacing in pain immediately.
Trainers took him off the field, and had to suppport his arm all the way to the locker room.
Hoyer had been starting for the Bears since Jay Cutler injured his thumb in a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. There have been reports saying the Bears might not start Cutler when he gets healthy.
Third-stringer Matt Barkley filled in for the Bears in the second half and threw 2 interceptions.
