K’Waun Williams’ bizarre offseason has a new chapter.
Yesterday the slot corner was set the join to Chicago Bears. On Wednesday he’s jobless.
Williams failed his physical and as a result won’t be joining the Bears, per the Chicago Tribune. He has been bothered by a foot injury.
The third-year corner was originally released by the Cleveland Browns after relations soured between the two parties due to some discrepancy to whether or not he was injured. Cleveland suspended him for two weeks and later released the corner.
Now that he’s actually injured puts a whole new twist on the saga. It remains to be seen if Cleveland revisits their relationship with the slot CB.
Chicago figured to a desirable location for Williams. The Bears are looking for some cornerback help. With Williams’ failed physical, Chicago is expect to explore other defensive back options.
