Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green’s fight with Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey will only cost one of them money.
Both players were ejected in the second quarter in Week 9, but Green was the player who received the fine. He will have to fork over $42,000, according to Pro Football Talk’s Michael David Smith.
Green and Ramsey were in each other’s faces throughout the Jaguars-Bengals game on Sunday, and it led to a lot of contact after the whistle. It culminated with Green shoving Ramsey lightly after a play, and the young cornerback responded by shoving Green to the turf.
Green popped up off the ground and took Ramsey down with a headlock, and also threw several punches before the altercation was finally broken up.
He said that all the contact was initiated by Green, but admitted to talking a great deal of trash all day.
