Cowboys CB Orlando Scandrick unlikely to play in Week 14
New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is on his way back to the field. Meanwhile, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick appears to be on his way to the sideline.
Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones said on 105.3 The Fan that Scandrick is unlikely to play Week 14 versus the Giants, per Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News.
Scandrick hasn’t been officially ruled out but the team is pessimistic about his availability for Sunday.
The 10-year cornerback suffered two transverse process fractures in his back during Thursday’s win against the Washington Redskins. He is not a stranger to injuries.
Scandrick missed all of the 2015 season due to a knee injury, he missed four games last year because of hamstring strains and missed Week 2 this season after undergoing surgery to repair a broken hand.
The Cowboys started rookie cornerback Chidobe Awuzie over Anthony Brown in Week 13. Either Brown or rookie Jourdan Lewis will get the start alongside of Awuzie with Scandrick out in Week 14.
