Marshawn Lynch was coined the name “Beast Mode” for a reason. Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee believes Lynch’s informal title is a worthy nickname.
Lee has made 647 tackles in his career. The toughest player for the eighth-year weak side linebacker to bring down is the guy he just had to deal with.
“[Marshawn Lynch] is maybe the hardest guy I’ve ever tried to tackle,” Lee said of the Oakland Raiders running back, per the Cowboys’ official website. “Not only his strength, his speed, his elusiveness, but just how he brings it throughout an entire game. He never stops.”
Lee and the Cowboys did an adequate job at containing Lynch. The Raiders running back ran for 76 yards on 16 carries in the 20-17 narrow Week 15 Cowboys win. Lee once again led Dallas with 10 tackles.
More importantly, the Cowboys’ Week 15 victory kept their slim playoff hopes alive.
The Cowboys host the Seattle Seahawks in Week 16, a game that will feature the return of Ezekiel Elliott.
