Green Bay Packers fans want to ban Joe Buck and Troy Aikman from their games
Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman and Joe Buck are the marquee broadcasting duo for Fox Sports’ NFL coverage.
And that duo will work the Sunday game between the Green Bay Packers and Cowboys at AT&T Stadium.
Apparently some Packers fans aren’t very happy with that.
Around noon Wednesday, more than 16,000 people had signed a Change.org petition to ban the Aikman-Buck duo from calling Packers games. The petition is calling for 25,000 signatures and will apparently be delivered to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, the NFL, Fox News, and the Fox Broadcasting company.
The petition was started Monday by Andrew Dorff of Brookfield, Wis., and is titled “Get Troy Aikman and Joe Buck banned from announcing Green Bay Packer’s games.”
“On behalf of the Green Bay Packers fans across the world, we would like action taken to prohibit them from giving their constant negative input about our team. We are sick of the biased announcing always coming from them,” Dorff wrote on the petition.
Remember, there is no requirement for action to be taken based on a Change.org petitions. This likely won’t cause any change, but at least it’s giving Green Bay fans something to unite around.
