Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott decided to drop his appeal on Wednesday. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy neglected to elaborate on Elliott’s actions.
“His decision speaks for itself,” McCarthy said, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Elliott’s agents released a statement on Wednesday detailing the running back’s decision to withdraw his appeal of the six-game suspension.
The first game of Elliott’s suspension came last week in a game the Cowboys lost 27-7 to the Atlanta Falcons. Dallas will face the Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Chargers, Washington Redskins, New York Giants and Oakland Raiders without Elliott.
Elliott will be able to return Dec. 24 against the Seattle Seahawks. He is training on foreign soil during his suspension.
