The Dallas Cowboys will play the New York Giants in the biggest game of their season under the bright lights of Sunday Night Football this week, but for vice president Stephen Jones, one of the biggest for him was just played.
Jones’ son, John Stephen Jones, led his Highland Park High School team to the state finals with a win at AT&T Stadium. John is the quarterback for his team and he and his teammates are going to the biggest game of their high school careers, as reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN.
If you missed it earlier in the week, Jones said that he was more nervous watching his son play than he is watching the Cowboys. On Sunday, the Cowboys can clinch the NFC East division with a win over the Giants, the only team to hold a victory over them this season.
“Obviously, these are big, big football games for him,” Jones said earlier in the week. “And obviously big, big football games for the Cowboys. And they’re very similar in terms of your emotions and how you feel out there.”
