While quarterback Tony Romo was able to practice this past week for the first time since sustaining his injury, he will be out for Sunday’s NFC East showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles.
That was known ahead of time, and Dak Prescott has been preparing as the starter for the Dallas Cowboys. But the team also released its full injury report on Friday and there are few surprises.
Romo is out with a back injury, while defensive end Ryan Davis is also listed as out with a hamstring injury after not practicing this week. Wide receiver Dez Bryant has been a limited participant all week with a knee injury, while running back Lance Dunbar has been listed with the same status and the same ailment. Both players are listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.
Other than those big-name players, cornerbacks Morris Claiborne (concussion) and Orlando Scandrick (hamstring), tight end Jason Witten (chest), defensive ends DeMarcus Lawrence (back/shoulder) and David Irving (ankle), linebacker Kyle Wilber (neck) and offensive tackles Tyron Smith (back) and Chaz Green (foot) are all listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.
Smith is the other big player on that list. He was listed as a limited participant in practice all week, while both Claiborne and Witten practiced in full all three days this week.
