Nobody knows what’s going on with Denver Broncos running back, C.J. Anderson and some rampant speculation sparked outrage out of the tailback.
Rumors have been circulating Thursday regarding Anderson’s health. The first report came from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who said a MRI revealed Anderson did not tear his ACL.
That wasn’t what set Anderson off, however. Later Thursday morning, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Anderson was out for the season. That was apparently news to Anderson, who made a point of dismissing Rapoport’s report and then proceeded to go on a Twitter rant.
But, there was another twist (as this story was being written). Anderson quickly deleted the tweets from his profile, which makes this situation even more puzzling.
Let’s recap: We have one reporter saying Anderson didn’t tear his ACL, but provided no news on the actual diagnosis. Another reporter said Anderson was out for the year, but didn’t provide any specifics on the injury. Then, a disgruntled running back who was fed up with the erroneous report, but eventually deleted his rant.
The Broncos are expected to provide an update on Anderson later Thursday. Hopefully, someone will put this awkward situation to rest.
