It looks like Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas will be dealing with at least a little bit of pain this weekend.
Thomas said his injured hip is still bothering him and he probably won’t be fully healthy when his Broncos battle the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon in Denver.
“It’s day by day,” Thomas said, according to the Denver Post’s Nick Groke. “I am not going to be feeling great. But it’s getting better every day. You pray about it, keep getting treatment, and hopefully by game day, you’re ready to go and nothing freaky happens.”
The injury occurred early against the Carolina Panthers last Thursday night, when Thomas took a shot from James Bradberry following his second catch of the night. Thomas exited the game momentarily, but eventually returned to action. He caught four passes for 48 yards in the season opener.
Indianapolis allowed 340 passing yards to Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Indy’s secondary is banged up and probably won’t be at full strength at Sports Authority Field.
