The Denver Broncos are in a freefall currently, as they’ve lost eight consecutive games and are sitting at 3-9. The main focus currently for this team has to be on its future and finding a way to make sure the issues that plagued them this season are fixed in 2018 and beyond. Unfortunately, injuries and other things have continuously popped up, forcing the team to be unable to even evaluate some young talent.
Second-year quarterback Paxton Lynch is a prime example, as he suffered an ankle injury during his first start of the 2017 NFL season in Week 12.
With the current struggles being well-documented, Broncos star wide receiver Demaryius Thomas didn’t hold back his opinions on the topic. Going as far as stating that the team just “can’t beat anybody” right now, courtesy of ESPN’s Jeff Legwold.
“Every week we say the same things, we answer the same questions the same way,” Thomas said. “Every week we do the same things, week in, week out, and we don’t make it no better. … We just want to win, and s—, right now we can’t beat anybody. We’ve got to figure it out as a group, keep fighting, keep grinding.
“If the season ends this way, it ends this way, but we can’t give up.”
Thomas seems to know that this is just one of those seasons you want to forget, but he’s still trying to push forward and find success, just like the rest of the team.
Now comes the time where we find out if the Broncos can at least show some positive signs down the home stretch of the season.
