Denver Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe was carted off the field during practice on Saturday morning after suffering what appeared to be a serious injury to his right leg.
Wolfe was unable to put any weight on his right side, and there were fears that he may be the latest Denver defensive lineman to suffer a season-ending type of injury.
Mike Klis of 9News Denver has since confirmed that Wolfe suffered an injury to his right ankle.

Fortunately for the Broncos, it looks like Wolfe won’t miss an extended period of time, although that has yet to be confirmed.
Vance Joseph said Derek Wolfe suffered an ankle injury. Team not sure of severity yet.

The Broncos would be in trouble if they lost Wolfe for an extended period of time. Reserve defensive lineman Billy Winn is out for the season after suffering a torn right ACL against the Chicago Bears, and defensive end is a position that has to improve in 2017 if Denver is to return to the postseason.
