Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders was involved in a car crash Tuesday morning as he was headed into practice.
Sanders collided with a car driven by a woman in Parker, Colo., according to 9News’ Erin Powell. According to the police report, Sanders was driving northbound on the median going somewhere between 30 and 35 miles per hour. That’s when 18-year-old McKenzie Caldon swerved into the median in her Hyundai Elantra and struck Sanders’ SUV, according to Powell.
Both vehicles were damaged, but no injuries occurred, per Powell. Sanders claimed to have a headache while Caldon told police she hurt her right hand. Police gave both Sanders and Caldon citations for careless driving and Sanders participated in practice Tuesday.
Sanders is entering his eighth professional season and his fourth with the Broncos. He caught 79 passes for 1,032 yards and 5 touchdowns last season and has 256 receptions in three seasons with Denver.
