Safety John Lynch only spent four of his 15 professional seasons with the Denver Broncos. But the Ring of Fame inductee admitted that Denver will always hold a special place in his heart.
Of course, the Ring of Fame might not be the only prestigious honor Lynch receives. A Hall of Fame induction could be coming his way. It’d make sense for Lynch to go in as a Tampa Bay Buccaneer, as he spent his first 11 seasons with the Buccaneers. But, Lynch said that might not be a given.
“A lot of people always ask me that, ‘If down the line some good things were going to happen, which one would you go in as?’ First of all, I don’t think you have to make that decision in football, you just go in,” Lynch said in a press release. “I’m happy for that because I really feel like I’m both. I really do. I invested myself and my family into the two organizations I played with.
“When I was with New England for two and a half weeks, I did there as well. I really feel like I was part of two great organizations. Although my time far outweighed in Tampa than it did here in Denver, this organization is very part of my NFL career. I think it speaks volumes of this organization that it had that big of an impression on me in my short time here.”
So while Tampa Bay might be where Lynch’s career took off, Denver might always be viewed as home for the legendary safety.
