Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman has been talking a lot of smack lately, but Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas might have pulled the ultimate comeback.
Norman dissed plenty of people in a lengthy expose on ESPN.com, from Demaryius Thomas to Roger Goodell. Norman’s rant about Thomas stemmed from Super Bowl 50, where he held Denver’s star wide receiver to just one catch for eight yards.
“I don’t know what he was out there for,” Norman told ESPN’s Kevin Van Valkenburg. “He was supposed to be an all-world guy, and I shut him down.”
The problem is Thomas’ team won the game, and the Lombardi Trophy, by a score of 24-10. So while Norman won the individual battle, his team lost the war. Thomas made sure to remind Norman of that with some expert trolling on Twitter.

Norman is arguably one of the league’s best shutdown corners. He’s definitely at the top of the game in terms of talking smack. But, sometimes it don’t mean a thing if you don’t have a ring. And right now, Norman is ringless.
