Photo: TV graphic accidentally mistakes Broncos safety T.J. Ward for QB Trevor Siemian
You’ve got to love good television gaffes, especially when a player notices the mistake.
This is exactly what happened to Denver Broncos safety T.J. Ward, who was mistakenly labeled as Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian by a misconstrued television graphic. Ward took it all in stride and seemed pretty excited to be starting at quarterback for the Broncos on Monday night.
Perhaps Ward could go both ways against the Houston Texans, as his team will certainly need him in the secondary.
Honestly, the Broncos could probably win with Ward under center. Denver’s defense is so incredibly dominant, it might not matter who’s taking snaps. Denver has won games the past two seasons with Peyton Manning, Brock Osweiler, Siemian and rookie Paxton Lynch at quarterback. Maybe Ward will be the fifth Broncos quarterback to get a win against the Texans.
Or, Ward might settle for a dominating win at safety against Osweiler and the Texans.
