The Denver Broncos won’t have to stop explosive Kansas City Chiefs wideout Tyreek Hill this Sunday. He’s been ruled out of the game.
“The Chiefs’ final injury report of the week is an extensive one and includes wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who will not play on Sunday against the Broncos for personal reasons,” wrote Adam Teicher of ESPN. “Seven players are listed as questionable, including running backs Akeem Hunt and Charcandrick West.”
That said, those personal reason appear to be rather tragic.
“Chiefs WR Ty Hill has been declared out for Sunday’s game. Non-injury related reasons [death in the family],” wrote Terez A. Paylor of The Kansas City Star.
No more information has been provided on what happened, but, in a game they don’t need to win, the Chiefs are giving their young wideout the time off that he needs right now.
Hill did recently post this message on Twitter:
Tough loss I will miss you pops 🙏🏿 R.I.P to the man who kept me grounded and level headed through the adversity, I love you

The Broncos have struggled to stop him in the past, though this is just his second year in the league.
“In his three career games against Denver, Tyreek Hill has recorded a kick returned for a touchdown, a receiving TD and two rushing TDs,” noted Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post.
The Chiefs are also going to start rookie quarterback Patrick Mahomes. They traded up massively to take him in the draft and he’s considered the future at the position, so they finally want to see what he can do.
