Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian was listed as a limited participant in practice on Monday.
Siemian is dealing with an injury to his non-throwing shoulder he sustained in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Rookie Paxton Lynch replaced him in that game, and filled in for Siemian as the starter in Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.
The Broncos held a walk-through without pads, so it’s unclear what Siemian actually did and did not do on Monday. It has been reported that the Broncos plan to start Siemian on Thursday against the San Diego Chargers.
Lynch, a first-round pick in this year’s draft, lost a starting quarterback battle to Siemian in training camp and throughout the preseason, and he struggled in the team’s loss to the Falcons. His struggles cemented Siemian’s status as the starter going forward, but he’ll need to be healthy to remain in the lineup.
The Broncos, 4-1, will face the Chargers on Thursday Night Football this week.
