WR Emmanuel Sanders ruled out for rest of Broncos’ matchup against Colts
Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders tried to push through an ankle injury on Thursday Night Football against the Indianapolis Colts, but he could not finish the game.
Sanders was clearly gimpy on that ankle during the game, and the Broncos have ruled him out for the rest of the game. Even with the less than 100 percent ankle, he was still able to catch 7 passes for 68 yards on the game.
A high ankle sprain kept Sanders out during the Broncos’ Week 7 and Week 8 matchups against the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs. He is also not the only player for the Broncos to be ruled out during the game due to injury.
Quarterback Trevor Siemian injured his non-throwing shoulder that has given him problems in the past. Brock Osweiler has filled in nicely, throwing 2 touchdowns passes and scoring on a 17-yard run.
It has been a rough season for the Broncos, but this was a nice victory against the Colts. Outside of Siemian’s interceptions early, in the first quarter, they have played well.
Running back C.J. Anderson had a huge day on the ground with 158 yards on 30 carries. Also the defense played extremely well.
Questions will be asked about securing good position in the NFL Draft as the season comes to a close, but the players surely would like to end the season on a high note.
