The Green Bay Packers wide receivers have taken a lot of criticism the last two seasons.
It appeared that Davante Adams couldn’t take it anymore, because he had the best game of his professional career in their win against the Chicago Bears. He caught 13 passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns. Adams is the only player to ever catch 10 balls for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns at Lambeau field.
However he was not alone. Ty Montgomery caught 10 passes for 66 yards and Randall Cobb caught 11 passes for 95 yards. That makes them the first wide receiver trio to catch at least 10 passes as a unit since the New England Patriots did it in 1994.
1994 Patriots (Week 11) are only team since 1970 to have 3 players with 10 catches in a game. GB is 1 Ty Montgomery reception shy of mark.

“Especially based on how last season with the receivers we didn’t live up to the hype,” Adams said on the NFL Network post game show. “They’re gonna man us up out there…that bend don’t break defense. We just gotta take advantage and win our one on ones, and I feel like we did that today.”
With both of their starting running backs out, and third back going down in the second quarter, the Packers had to get creative. They lined up Montgomery and Cobb at running back but the shovel pass was in full effect. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw the ball 56 times and set a franchise record with 39 completions in a single game.
