He suffered a blow to his head in the Packers’ season opener and has not seen the field since. The concern for Shields is this current concussion is his fourth in six years, and he missed four games at the end of last season while in concussion protocol.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported Shields expects to return to the field this season.
Shields is one of the Packers’ best players and they could really use a boost. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is coming off of another tough game in a loss against the Dallas Cowboys. He completed 74 percent of his passes for 294 yards and a touchdown, but he turned the ball over twice. Rodgers lost a fumble and threw an interception.
