Clay Matthews’ hamstring issues haven’t disappeared.
The six-time Pro Bowler has again hurt the hamstring that kept him out in Week 3, before a bye week allowed him to heal up and return to action.
The severity of this one is less clear. Packers coach Mike McCarthy told reporters he hopes it’s milder than the first injury and that he plans to have Matthews practice in a limited fashion Thursday.
Matthews, 30, has 3 sacks in 5 games for the Packers this season. Green Bay is hoping he’ll be available for Sunday’s game at Atlanta, which boasts the most productive offense through the first seven weeks of the season.
