The Green Bay Packers have some issues at running back.
So many issues, that they’ve had to turn to wide receiver Ty Montgomery.
He lined up in backfield frequently during his college career at Stanford, and the Packers will put him there as a change of pace. However, injuries have forced him back there more often out of necessity.
In two drives, #Packers WR Ty Montgomery lined up as a RB in backfield 13 snaps. Five touches from backfield, 3 carries.

Their top two running backs, James Starks and Eddie Lacy, were not active for tonight’s game against the Chicago Bears. In the second quarter, running back Don Jackson went down with a hand injury. He is questionable to return, via the Green Bay Press-Gazette’s Ryan Wood.
The Packers signed former Kansas City Chiefs running back Knile Davis this week. If Jackson does not return to the game, Davis will be the only active running back for the Packers tonight.
Their current drive has been all Montgomery at running back.
