What began at Lambeau Field as an incident that required the bomb squad to come to the stadium, appears to be a conflict between two people that got way out of control.
Police and fire officials were at Lambeau Field on Friday in response to an emergency situation. Since then a suspect has been placed in custody after allegedly crashing into multiple vehicles.
According to Green Bay, Wis. police chief Andrew Smith, the suspect is a disgruntled former employee.
Smith said that the suspect had filed a complaint with police on Friday that he had been unjustly terminated after an altercation with a co-worker. The suspect then later saw that co-worker and chased him in his car through the Lambeau Field parking lot, and the interior of the stadium, damaging several vehicles in the process, via the Green Bay Press-Gazette’s Jeff Bollier.
This incident has quickly gone from a scary situation, to quite bizarre. Fortunately no people were harmed during this chase.
Also, this means that the Green Bay Packers Saturday night game against the Minnesota Vikings should not be affected in any way by what happened on Friday.
