The Indianapolis Colts will likely be without one of their starting guards for the beginning of the 2016 season. But it could have been much worse.
Guard Jack Mewhort will only miss two-to-four weeks with a knee injury, Colts owner Jim Irsay announced on his Twitter page.
Mewhort 2-4 weeks/No Surgery(Initial test results); plenty of work to do for this new Coaching Staff and new infusion of Player additions!

Losing Mewhort certainly isn’t ideal for one of the league’s worst units a year ago, but the Colts can breathe a heavy sigh of relief. It was originally believed that Mewhort had torn his ACL during Saturday night’s preseason contest against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Injuries are never good, but it’s safe to say the Colts caught an enormous break.
