After just four months with the Colts, Josh Boyce is back on the free-agent market. Indianapolis released the fourth-year receiver Tuesday.
The 5-foot-11, 206-pound Boyce had been having an impressive camp in the slot with the Colts, his second team since the Patriots drafted him in the fourth round out of TCU in 2013. He posted nine catches for 121 yards as a rookie in 2013, but hasn’t recorded a reception since.
In the past two seasons, he’s played just one game, as injuries have taken their toll. He spent all of last season on injured reserve.
