Jacksonville Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said on Friday the “arrow was pointing up” in terms of defensive end Jared Odrick’s status for Jacksonville’s season opener against the Green Bay Packers. One day later, Odrick was officially cleared to play.
Odrick was cleared after undergoing concussion protocol and will suit up Sunday afternoon, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson. Odrick recorded 5.5 sacks during his first season with the Jaguars.
The Jaguars are still waiting for official word on running back Chris Ivory, who is battling a calf injury. But, Bradley was also optimistic about the bruising tailback’s status.
The good news is Jacksonville will have one of its top pass rushers on the field for a statement game against the Packers.
