When Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley held his team meeting on Monday, team owner Shad Khan was also in attendance, according to Jacksonville.com.
Khan attended the meeting to show a presence and send a message: that the team’s 2-4 start is unacceptable. Khan was there to find “solutions,” according to the report. Khan wasn’t just there to be ominous, as the report states Khan asked players and coaches to “speak freely” during the meeting.
He also asked players and coaches what he can do to help, according to the report.
That’s good news, though things are still looking bleak for the Jaguars. Blake Bortles is looking like he’s not the franchise quarterback of the future after multiple seasons of lacking play and Bradley himself may be wearing out his welcome.
Bradley, a well-respected coordinator and one of the top head coaching candidates when the Jaguars brought him in, was always expected to get a few years to right the ship in Jacksonville. But it’s been so long without the team even looking competitive that many think Bradley is on the hot seat.
