Bjoern Werner’s chance to prolong his career has hit another snag.
The Jacksonville Jaguars released the defensive end Tuesday, according to NFL.com.
Last season, Werner was cut by Indianapolis in March. The Jaguars signed the former Colts first-round pick with the hopes he would be a steady contributor, even switching his position from linebacker to defensive end. Yet the former Florida State pass rusher failed to earn a job.
Werner’s best season came in 2014 when he posted 50 tackles and four sacks.
