Chiefs TE Travis Kelce caught on microphone asking for gnocchi during Sunday’s win
While the Kansas City Chiefs were taking care of business against the New Orleans Saints, tight end Travis Kelce was worrying about what he was going to have for dinner.
Kelce was mic’d up for NFL Films during Kansas City’s 27-21 victory over the Saints and was spotted asking a Chiefs assistant to give his mother a ring and call an audible for Sunday dinner.
“Hey, can you call my mother for me from that phone right there? Can you call my mother and tell her that I don’t want the macaroni and cheese with the regular noodles, I want the gnocchi?”
The assistant told the star tight end he’d “get right on that,” but there was some sarcasm sensed in his voice. Kansas City’s leading pass catcher just wants some special noodles in his mac and cheese. Is that so much to ask?
By the way, Travis, it’s pronounced “nyawk-kee,” just in case you’re trying to impress any ladies on your reality show, “Catching Kelce.”
You can watch Kelce’s entire conversation about pasta below:
