It has been a long road, but Justin Houston is back in uniform.
The Kansas City Chiefs outside linebacker practiced for the first time this season, via The Associated Press. He had surgery on an ACL that wasn’t functioning properly back in February, and has been on the physically unable to perform list.
Houston missed some time during the regular season, but he returned for the playoffs. However, he did not play up to his normal capabilities in either game. His injury was originally thought to be a hyperextension of his left knee.
According Chiefs.com’s B.J. Kissel, in being activated off of the PUP list, Houston has three weeks to play in a game before he has to be declared out for the season. Head coach Andy Reid told the media that he does not expect Houston to play on Sunday.
