The news was mixed for the San Diego Chargers on the injury front on Wednesday.
Rookie tight end Hunter Henry has been a big part of the team’s offense, but despite sustaining a concussion after the team’s Week 7 win over the Atlanta Falcons, he was practicing on Wednesday. He will likely still need to go through the NFL’s concussion protocol, but the fact that he was participating at all on Wednesday is good news for San Diego.
Starting wide receivers Tyrell Williams and Travis Benjamin were both absent for Wednesday’s session. Benjamin has been dealing with a knee injury and played through it in San Diego’s last game. There have been no reports of a setback, and he also missed the Wednesday session last week.
Williams missed the session for an unknown reason as the Chargers did not disclose why he was absent.
