Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald was ejected from Monday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers after multiple penalties. Donald was called for a personal foul after knocking 49ers wide receiver Quinton Patton’s helmet off during a scuffle and grabbing the back of his neck, which was a 15-yard penalty.
Then he earned an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for contact with an official.

That second penalty was for half the distance to the goal, and per the NFL’s new rules regarding earning multiples of those kinds of penalties, Donald was ejected from the game. The ejection came in the fourth quarter, with the Rams trailing by three touchdowns in a game that was ultimately very ugly for them.
The Rams were called for several penalties in the game. Shortly after Donald’s ejection, the 49ers scored again to make it a 28-0 game.
Donald angrily spiked his helmet into the turf and was shouting as he walked off the field and to the locker room. He is considered one of the best defensive tackles on one of the best defensive lines in the league, but the Rams failed to get consistent pressure and could not stop the run all game.
