Miami Dolphins All-Pro outside linebacker Cameron Wake will get some preseason work in.
Dolphins Head coach Adam Gase and Wake had said he would be a game-time decision for tonight’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. ESPN’s James Walker is reporting that Wake will play.
Wake only played seven games in 2015. He tore his Achilles in a Thursday night game against the New England Patriots in October.
At the time of his injury Pro Football Focus had Wake rated as their third-best pass rusher. The Dolphins are looking forward to seeing the defensive line they envisioned when they signed Ndamukong Suh to a six-year, $114 million contract with nearly $60 million guaranteed last year.
Hopefully for Miami, a healthy front seven will give it a better shot at its first AFC East championship since 2008.
