Mario Williams left his Miami Dolphins debut early. Now, he might not be able to take the field when the Dolphins face division rival New England.
Williams left Sunday’s 12-10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks with a concussion and his status for Sunday’s contest against the Patriots is unknown, according to a report from the Sun Sentinel’s Omar Kelly. Williams now must undergo mandatory league concussion protocol before he can take the practice field.
The star defensive end was impactful during his Dolphins debut, recording two tackles and a sack. His presence was missed later in the game, however, as the Seahawks staged a dramatic drive and took the lead with seconds remaining on a Russell Wilson touchdown pass to Doug Baldwin.
