The Minnesota Vikings lost for the first time in 2016 today.
Apparently that was one loss too many for head coach Mike Zimmer. He went off in his press conference following their 21-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
“[The Vikings performance was] embarrassing in at least two phases,” Zimmer said to the media via ESPN’s Ben Goessling. “It’s hard to evaluate his [Sam Bradford’s] performance when we look like a sieve.”
He kept hammering his offensive line as the press conference continued.
“[The Eagles] were blitzing a lot,” Zimmer said to the media via ESPN’s Dan Graziano. “I mean, I would too. We weren’t picking up anybody.”
Bradford took a great deal of punishment today. He was sacked five times and went 24-41 for 224 yards a touchdown and an interception. The Vikings’ quarterback also fumbled the ball 4 times and lost 2 of them.
The Eagles’ rookie quarterback, Carson Wentz, had a dismal performance in victory today. He went 16-28 for 138 yards, 2 interceptions and a touchdown. Fumbles were a problem for him as well. He put the ball on the ground 3 times and lost 2 of them.
