Things got violent between a Minnesota Vikings fan and a Green Bay Packers fan last weekend, and the two teams weren’t even playing each other.
Vikings fan Dave Moschel, a father of six from Stoughton, Wis., was sitting down to watch football Sunday night when an unwelcome intruder tried to vandalize his inflatable Viking decoration in his yard, according to a report from Channel3000.com.
Moschel confronted the 21-year-old suspect, who was trying to slice up the Viking. Moschel was stabbed seven times during the altercation and the suspect was arrested for suspicion of reckless endangerment and criminal damage to property.
Fortunately, the crisis was defused and Moschel wasn’t seriously hurt. He also said he will continue to proudly display his Vikings pride, even in enemy territory, according to the report.
The Vikings are off to a 5-0 start while Green Bay is 3-1. The Vikings beat the Packers, 17-14, in Week 2 and won’t meet again until Christmas Eve.
