The 6-1 New England Patriots travel to Buffalo for a crucial AFC East clash with the 4-3 Buffalo Bills on Sunday. The Bills are the only team to defeat the Patriots this season, a 16-0 drubbing in the final game of Tom Brady’s four-game, season-opening suspension on Oct. 2.
The Patriots have not been swept by a divisional opponent since 2001 and a victory against Buffalo would give New England a comfortable 3-game lead in the AFC East.
To do so, the Patriots will have to overcome a tough Bills defense. Buffalo is eighth in the NFL in opponents points per game, allowing just 18.7 points per contest.
Buffalo features outside linebacker Lorenzo Alexander, the league’s leader in sacks at 9.0, who Bill Belichick praised during his Tuesday conference call. In his Friday press conference, he was complimentary to another Bills defender.
"I'd say it's more of a technique thing. One of the best defensive tackles in the league." BB on Marcell Dareus.

Dareus, 26, is fresh off two straight Pro Bowl appearances. The 6-foot-3, 319-pound Alabama product has 2.0 sacks of his own and 53 total tackles.
